Four Mill Creek City Council Posts Up For Election

The following four Mill Creek City Council seats are up for election this year:

  • Position #1 – Short & Four year term
  • Position #2 – Four year term
  • Position #3 – Four year term
  • Position #4 – Four year term

The City of Mill Creek is a Council-Manager form of government.  This means that all legislative policy-making powers are vested in the City Council.  The Council appoints a City Manager to carry out the legislative policies the Council develops.  The City Manager is the head of the executive branch of City government. In general, it is the Council’s role to make policy for the governance of the City & its citizens.  The Council has the power to enact laws & policies consistent with state law, usually through the enactment of ordinances & resolutions.

The Council holds meetings on the first, second & fourth Tuesday of every month at Mill Creek City Hall, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Council members also participate in various committees & boards.
